Train to the End of the World

🎧 HEADPHONES ARE STRICTLY REQUIRED 🎧
A 100% audio-driven, blind-accessible sci-fi survival experience.

⚠️ Playable Demonstration ⚠️

This release is an early proof-of-concept. It features a fully playable interactive tutorial and the first residential train car. The main goal of this demo is to showcase and test the 3D binaural audio, echolocation, and blind-accessible mechanics. I would love to hear your feedback in the comments!

The Void Awaits

"If you are hearing this, amnesia cycle 14 has elapsed. The train remains intact, but the Conductor disabled manual emergency override..."

You awaken as Alexei inside Bunk 04 of the Car 1 Residential Block. The lights are dead. The environment is pitched in absolute darkness. The only thing you can trust is your hearing.

Train to the End of the World is an experimental, tension-fueled audio game. Stripped of your vision, you must rely entirely on 3D binaural audio, echolocation, and an onboard Text-to-Speech (TTS) interface to navigate a speeding, decaying train. Avoid scalding steam leaks, climb exterior roofs battered by violent winds, bypass locked bulkheads, and evade hostile sentry drones.

Features

  • True Spatial Audio: Every footstep, creaking metal plate, and hazard is physically modeled in a 3D acoustic space.
  • Fully Blind-Accessible: Designed from the ground up to be played without sight, featuring built-in screen-reader mechanics and auditory UI.
  • Atmospheric Horror: The deafening roar of the rails and the claustrophobic reverberations of the corridors will keep you on edge.

Survival Manual (Controls)

Your auditory rig and physical movements are mapped to the following controls:

Movement

  • W / A / S / D or Arrows : Walk left/right, and climb up/down ladders and ledges.
  • Spacebar : Jump across gaps.
  • C (Hold) : Crouch to crawl through low ducts and safely pass beneath scalding steam vents.

Interaction & Tools

  • E : Interact with your surroundings (open doors, swipe keycards, inspect computer terminals).
  • 1 / 2 : Equip Tools (Flashlight / Radio).
  • H : Check current health status (TTS readout).

Echolocation & Radar

  • R : Environmental Radar. Scans the immediate area and uses TTS to announce the distance and direction of nearby landmarks.
  • C + F (Hold together) : Sonar Ping. Emits a sound wave that bounces off solid geometry, allowing you to "hear" the shape of the room and locate walls or drops based on the echoes.

Can you reach the end of the train before your health runs out?
Listen closely. Move carefully. Good luck.
